In 2009, Dr. Adams became a certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute.
Physical rehabilitation is a very important part of the healing process after an injury, after surgery (both orthopedic and non-orthopedic) and to help prevent and treat age-related and conformation-related dysfunction. It is also an important part of fitness and conditioning for healthy canine athletes.
Dr. Adams has completed courses in Aquatic Therapy, Sports medicine and Trigger Points for Dry Needling.
Our rehabilitation facility boasts an underwater treadmill, fitness pool with jets as well as therapeutic laser, TENS, E-STIM, alpha-STIM and other modalities.
Recently Bogdan Ciolanescu has become certified in canine acupuncture, which also helps with treatment of a multitude of medical and orthopedic conditions.
We are very proud of our rehab facility. Rehab therapy is a hugely under-utilized area of veterinary medicine and we are very pleased to offer it at the Fairvale Animal Hospital.
